October is here, bringing with it cooler (maybe?!) weather and lots of fun happenings for the SBCSL Youth Program. We are gearing up for HALLOWEEN (see details in the Events & Announcements section below), and our theme for the month is Fear to Faith. Fear is a powerful human experience that encourages us to look inside and ask important questions: What am I afraid of? Why am I afraid? Should I be afraid? We will challenge ourselves and face our fears using books, art and thoughtful discussion.
We celebrated our youth at the annual Passage Ways Ceremony on August 25th. It was a beautiful event during which each child and teen shared their intention for the new school year, families shared their wishes for each student, and the greater SBCSL congregation expressed their love and support for our younger members. These kids are our future, and they are pretty darn amazing!
