The newsletter took a break in January, so…. Happy New Year from the SBCSL Youth Program! Our theme this month is Something’s Stirring. We’ll explore our personal relationship to Spirit and learn about listening to the God within ourselves and connecting with the God within others.
We sent a great crew of kids (and advisors!) to CSL Teens Winter Camp at the Pali Mountain Retreat in Running Springs. Thanks to all who helped make camp happen!

GOURMET FOR GOD
The SBCSL community has really come
through, and there are some wonderful offerings for our
First annual Gourmet for God
The auction runs from
February 2 – February 23
Please show your support for our youth by bidding generously on one (or more!!) culinary experiences! Funds raised will help pay for this year’s Winter and Summer Camps, and as this event grows each year we’ll build up a fund for our future campers.
On Sunday, February 9, all of the Youth Program classes will spend some time making Valentine’s Day Cards for members of our community who are served by our Pastoral Care Program or are just in need of some extra love and cheer. Card making supplies welcome!!
Another great way to support and get to know the youth in your SBCSL community is to volunteer with the Youth Program! Stop by the Youth Room or give Miss Lisa a call for more information. And feel free to ask any of our current volunteers about their experiences with our amazing youth – they are happy to share!
